THE BIRTH OF A SCIENTIST (IN THE BEGINNING THERE WAS LOVE)

"I love you..."
Words, just words --
But some words are better heard than read.
Word spoken is speech.
Speech is composed of sounds.
Sound is composed of waves --
You know, those up and down curves?
Those forms which strike the eardrums?

Any matter having form
Is perceived by the senses.
Thus, nothing is trully perceived
Unless it passes through the senses.
The senses: sight, hearing, smell, taste, and touch.
Each has the capacity to perceive --
By the eyes, ears, nose, mouth, and hands.

An eardrum is a part of the ear.
The ear is a sense organ.
An organ is a part of a system.

Man's actions are governed
By a faculty called the mind.
The mind is believed to be the spirit
Of that very delicate organ called the brain.
And the brain is a part of the nervous system.
You see, man is composed of many systems.

The mind is composed
Of the intellect and the will.
When on thinks or remembers,
It is said that his intellect is functioning.
And when one feels strongly for something,
It is his will that's working.
Thus, everything immaterial and intangible
Originate from the mind.

I am puzzled --
I cannot understand.
Why attribute the work of one system to another?
Why is falling in love,
Or simply delighting in something,
Believed to be an affair of the heart?
Aren't love and delight immaterial things?

Ah!
The blackness of the night sky,
The brightness of the stars,
The moon's peculiar smile,
The melodious croacking of the toads,
The fragrant smell of the flowers,
The sweetness of the chocolate melting in my mouth,
The feeling of cold wind brishing against my cheeks,
And this longing feeling for you
Are driving me crazy --
Like a mad scientist
In pursuit of a discovery!

Yes,
Perhaps this is how Einstein first started before --
A scientist was born when, one night,
Somebody whispered the words:
"I love you..."
